10 Facts about me

Da mir einige von euch bei Instagram oft schreiben und mir Fragen stellen hab ich mir gedacht mache ich mal 10 Fakten über mich und beantworte ein paar Fragen. Wenn es euch gefällt, können wir das gerne noch einmal machen, also schreibt mir dann einfach eure Fragen via DM oder kommentiert hier den Beitrag.

Woher kommt der Name Malia?

Der Name Malia Keana kommt aus dem Hawaiinischen und ist nicht mein richtiger Name. Ich fand ihn jedoch vom Klang her sehr ansprechend und war eh auf der Suche nach einem „Künstlername“. Und somit ist es dann „Malia Keana“ letztendlich geworden.

Mein Lieblingslabel

Wenn ich mich auf zwei hier beschränken müsste wäre es Chanel und Zimmermann. Chanel weil es zeitlos und klassisch ist und Zimmermann weil die Designs so perfekt zu mir passen.

Mein Lieblingsreiseziel

Ich liebe Hawaii. Bisher war ich dreimal dort und ich kann es nicht beschreiben, aber ich fühle mich dort einfach „angekommen“.

Was mache ich in meiner Freizeit

Da ich derzeit noch studiere und blogger und arbeite habe ich nicht allzu viel Freizeit um ehrlich zu sein. Ich verbringe diese aber gerne mit den Menschen, die mir wichtig sind und natürlich Karl.

Beauty Secrets

Ich muss gestehen ich benutze sehr gerne Aloe Vera Gel. Außerdem teste ich grade so einiges an Produkten, wie ihr meinen aktuellen Posts entnehmen könnt. Mein Tipp einen Dermaroller einmal die Woche und dazu ein gutes Serum. Schminken tue ich mich auch nicht wirklich viel. Ich mag es einfach natürlich.

Tipps bezüglich Modeln

Ich finde es immer noch Wahnsinn, dass ich nach Tipps bezüglich modeln gefragt werde, da ich mich selbst nicht als das Topmodell betrachte. An die Mädels da draußen, macht die Schule fertig und fokussiert euch darauf ihr selbst zu bleiben. Nicht jeder wird euch mögen, es ist oberflächlich und nicht immer schön aber natürlich gibt es tolle Jobs und tolle Möglichkeiten. Versucht euch nur noch ein weiteres Standbein aufzubauen und haltet euch Türen offen.

Warum heißt Karl Karl?

Wir hatten den Namen Karl für unseren Hund lange bevor wir Karl hatten. Warum Karl, weiß ich gar nicht mehr so genau, ich glaub es ist dieser Oldschool Charakter des Namens und er passt einfach zu unserem Karl.

Mit welcher Kamera mache ich meine Bilder

Ich mache meine Bilder kaum selbst. Und wenn dann benutze ich mein altes Iphone 5S (ich hoffe ich bekomme bald ein neues). Mein Fotograf Sebas View nutzt verschiedene Cams, je nachdem ob Videos oder Fotos gemacht werden. Für Fotos ist es die Canon 80D und für Videos die Lumix GH4. Wenn ihr dazu fragen habt, müsst ihr ihn anschreiben, ich bin aus technischen Angelegenheiten leider raus. An dieser Stelle auch noch Danke an die liebe Miri von the soulfood traveller, die auch oft Fotos von mir macht und an meine Freundin Meike von Leilani Decoration, mit der ich auch oft Styles shoote.

Meine Lieblingsfarbe

Blau in allen Variationen, am liebsten Türkis. Ich mag die Farbe des Meers und daher liegt das nahe.

Warum poste ich so viele Strandbilder

Ich liebe das Meer, ich bin innerlich eine kleine Meerjungfrau und wir machen gerne am Meer Urlaub, gehen surfen. Daher müsst ihr damit klarkommen, dass es bei mir immer viele Fotos vom Meer und Strand zu sehen gibt, aber ich glaub das ist auch gut so ;)

Where does the Name Malia come from?
Malia Keana is Hawaiian and not my real name. I loved the sound of it and wanted to change my Insta/Facebook name anyways. So here it is the result.

My fav label

Ok I have to name two here: Chanel and Zimmermann. Chanel, because it is timeless and chic and Zimmermann because the designs are just perfect for me and suit me very well.

My fav travel destination

I am in love with Hawaii. I have been there three times now and I cannot describe it but say I feel like I belong there in some ways.

What do you do in your free time?

Ok right now I study, blog and work, so to be honest there is not much free time. But I love spending that time with the people I love and of course Karl.

Beauty Secrets

I have to say I love using Aloe Vera gel. And actually right now I am testing quite a lot of products, as you can see from my latest posts. I recommend using a dermaroller with a serum. I also don’t do a lot of make up. So I like it more natural.

Tipps regarding modelling

I am still surprised how many of you ask me about that, especially because I don’t consider myself as such a big model. Girls, finish school and focus and staying true to yourself. The industry is fast, not always beautiful and hard. They might not always like you but the jobs can be amazing. Just try to keep an eye open for something else as well, don’t be too hard on yourself and enjoy it.

Why did you name your dog Karl?

We had the name Karl long before we had our dog. I don’t even remember why Karl, but we like the oldschool character of the name and it just fits Karl perfectly.

Which camera are you using for your pictures?

I am mostly not taking the pictures myself. If I do I use my old Iphone 5S (hopefully I get a new one soon). My photographer Sebas View uses different cameras and lenses, depending on if he takes pictures or videos. For pictures he uses the Canon 80D and for videos the Lumix GH4. If you have any questions regarding that you have to ask him, Im not very good at technical questions here. And I would also like to thank Miri from soulfood traveller, who also takes pictures of me when we travel together and Meike from Leilani Decoration, who sometimes shoots with me styles for the blog.

My fav colour

Blue, blue, blue. In all shades. Preferably turquoise. Loving the colors of the ocean.

Why do you post so many beach pictures?

I love the ocean and the beach. I am a mermaid actually. We travel to places with beaches and where you can surf a lot so there you go. You just have to deal with it, but I also thing this is just me. So it’s quite suitable for my feed.
