Frohe Weihnachten!
Ich hoffe, ihr habt den 24. mit den Menschen, die euch wichtig sind, verbracht und schön gefeiert. Auch heute und morgen wünsche ich euch besinnliche Feiertage.
Ich könnte euch jetzt erzählen, wie schön mein Weihnachten war und wie froh ich doch sein kann, dass ich gesund bin und Freunde und Familie habe – bin ich auch, aber Weihnachten ist die Zeit Gutes zu tun und sich zu besinnen. Und ich möchte mich gerne auf Dinge besinnen, die mich dieses Jahr beschäftigt haben.
Ein großes Thema für mich ist, wie wir mit unserer Umwelt umgehen, insbesondere mit den Ozeanen. Das Meer ist der größte Spielplatz auf dieser Welt und wir zerstören ihn. Es befindet sich extrem viel Plastik in den Weltmeeren, Wale werden weiterhin gejagt, Fangquoten werde nicht eingehalten und Haie werden wegen ihrer Flossen getötet. Ich liebe das Meer und ich möchte auch in 20 Jahren noch surfen und mich an den Fischen dort erfreuen.
Daher möchte ich euch 4Ocean ans Herz legen.
Die Organisation 4Ocean organisiert Beach Cleanups und verwertet den gesammelten Müll in Armbänder. Diese Armbänder könnt ihr durch eine Spende von 20 US Dollar erwerben und habt erst einmal ein schönes Armband und gleichzeitig noch etwas Gutes getan. Die Armbänder gibt es in den Farben blau und rosa (unterstützt sogar noch die Brustkrebs Foundation). Die Armbänder eignen sich auch super als kleine Geschenke. Wenn ihr also dieses Jahr noch etwas Gutes tun wollt, dann schaut doch, ob vielleicht 4Oceans genau das richtige für euch ist. Sofern ihr in der Nähe vom Meer wohnt könnt ihr natürlich auch an den Cleanups teilnehmen.

I hope you had a beautiful christmas eve with your family and friends. I wish you happy holidays!
I could tell you what a great christmas eve I had and how glad I am that I am healthy and have family and friends with me. But christmas time is also the time for the year to do good. And I would like to discuss some things that were important to me this year.
The main subject this year for me was the pollution of our oceans. The ocean is the worlds biggest playground and we are destroying it. There is lots lots lots of plastic floating in the ocean, wales are still hunted for their meat, overfishing is an issue and shards are being killed for their fins. I love the ocean and I still want to go surfing in 20 years and I still want to see fish and wales in the ocean in 20 years.
And therefore I would like to tell you something about 4Ocean.
The organization 4Ocean organizes beach cleanups and uses the collected waste to produce bracelets. These bracelets can be bought by a donation of 20 US Dollar. You get a beautiful bracelet and did something for our environment and oceans. The bracelets are available in blue and pink (for breast cancer awareness). A great gift by the way. So if you still want to do something good this year and haven’t found something yet, maybe 4Oceans is right for you. If you are living close to the ocean you may also participate in the beach cleanups they organize.
