Oh Bali – just as beautiful as the island are the numerous amazing places to stay there.
I am a big fan of airbnb when it comes to picking my hotels/accomodations and for Bali it is absolute paradise to choose, which place will be your home for the vacations.
One of my all-time favorite places will now be „The Alchemist“ in Balangan/Jimbaran.
I have seen The Alchemist when I was in Bali the first time and really wanted to stay there this time. So we booked our treehouse (really a treehouse, absolute accommodation goals) for five days and I am so in love with this place still.
The Alchemist is located in the Jimbaran area, just 20 min. walk from Balangan Beach (a more quiet area, very nice and the beach is so pretty, not just for surfing but also for amazing colorful sunsets). The other beaches as Padang Padang, Dreamland or Binging are approx. 20 min from The Alchemit, which makes it a perfect location for surfers and beachlovers.
The Alchemist is a smaller resort, with around 6 cabins, each one very unique and so pretty and beautifully set up. I would estimate that in total around 20 people can stay at The Alchemist, which makes it very quiet and relaxable. The entire set up of the resort is so cute and nicely done. The pool area is very beautiful with hammocks and pillows and cushions on the floor, to enjoy your sunbath. The integrated restaurant is very nice and there is a huge selection of vegetarian/vegan and normal healthy food.
If you book The Alchemist breakfast is included (and you will enjoy it, because there are four dishes you can choose from, coffee and juices included, yummy).
We booked the cabin „Romeo“ because it was always my dream to have an own treehouse and this was just a dream come true for me. A hidden jungle treehouse. An enchanting fairy-tale experience in a magical forest resort by the beach. Experiencing romance in a rustic and comfortable limestone cabin built right into the forest. Still obsessed and in love with it.
Another highlight for me was having a glass of vino in the evening and enjoying the live music of Truedy – a local singer with such an amazing voice that we could just sit there and enjoy her show.
The Alchemist is managed by a French „chef“ (not really chef, but since he has his own patisserie and is making vegan ice-cream I feel he deserves to be called chef, because the food is delicious). His name is Carl and he is very nice and helpful. The patisserie and soon ice cream shop will be another highlight, because The Alchemist offers fresh french bakery and vegan ice-cream (heaven and foodporn at the same time).
And now sit back and enjoy the pictures of this beautiful resort, I am sure you will fall in love instantly, too.
